This is my equine pride and joy, Sun Uppity Socks. She is out of SocksBabe, a point earning halter Paint mare, and Sun Up Dude. You cant ask for a better disposition, and he does pass it on! Scooter, as we refer to her, is triple bred Sonny Dee Bar. Scooter was imprinted at birth, which we helped with at two in the morning, but was worth it! While she may be a breeding stock Paint, she's well bred, which to me is worth more than color. When Scoot first learned about halters, she was one day old. She was tied for the first time at 2 days, never panicked, and just pulled a little and fell a sleep. When ever Scooter was fustrated, she would lay down. Still does as a yearling. She clips, loads, stands for trimming, and is great for shots. There isn't a mean bone in her body, and is extremely quick to learn. This I contribute to her breeding, BOTH her mother and father's side. We are working on training her as a trick horse, she will lay down and play dead, ON HER BACK, and will begin training in about 8 months. Shes had a racing saddle on her a few times. Never cinchy, or bucking. The picture of her was taken at the age of 1 week.

Sun Uppity Socks - aka Scooter
Angus Darryl - Chocolate Dog, Little Man Dog ( to his Grandpa)
This is Gus. He is the nephew of Scooter, pictured above. Gus is a traditional marked CHOCOLATE male, with a medium/short coat. He is commonly refered to as Polar Bear Dog, PBD, or Houdini. Gus wants to lay in the shade, not the sun. In the dead of winter (not that it gets too cold here in Phoenix, AZ) he is IN THE POOL at NIGHT. While at his "grandparents" house, he made a jail break. Opening several VERY HARD to open door, shutters, and roll up blinds, not to be outdone, he opened the front door and forgot it was self locking. What a silly dog. A special thanks to Kim Hastings in TX. She is the proud "grandma" of 2 litters of CHOCOLATE border collies, including Gus's "to be" girlfriend when she grows up! Her picture will be comming soon.
